Chelsea’s Steve Chick has spoken of Newcastle’s versatility, saying he can’t underestimate any team in the Premier League and can play anywhere in midfield. When it comes to Newcastle things can change very quickly and look at Newcastle at the moment, they are doing well. They are playing great games, they are winning games, they are up to 14th in the standings and they are unbeaten in eight games, so you can’t underestimate any team.Every game in the Premier League is very tough, so we have to be ready.Talking about the competition with Manchester City and Liverpool is like the bottom three teams in the table, they can change a lot.Maybe the top teams will be the same, you never know what can happen. When City are playing well and beating other teams by five or six goals it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen, but we have to take it one game at a time and make it look hard for them to win the title. We have to put pressure on them because if they make mistakes we can close the gap.Football is like that, we have to move on and of course want to win as many trophies as possible. We were disappointed not to win the carling Cup, but we are still in the fa Cup and still in the champions League.I played a few games at centre-back when I was younger and I was comfortable in most positions and I played a few different positions as I grew up, which is why I never felt uncomfortable playing in any position.I felt confident in my skills and could read the game easily, so I wasn’t worried when he (Tuchel) played me at centre-back.When assigned to different positions, you have to do your job.I’ve always seen myself as a midfielder and that’s where I can make a bigger impact on the game.I like to be physical and bring that to the game and dribble people and be creative in the game.I always saw myself as an eight, moving back and forth and making an impact in both boxes. But I can play anywhere in midfield and now I’m more involved in defence. When I played for Crystal Palace, I played either left or right midfield in a 4-4-2 formation.I played as an attacking midfielder for England.I played up front for a while under Antonio Conte at Chelsea.I played at right-back against Burnley last week.(Interpretation)
